Tool & Die Maker

Tool & Die Makers are responsible for the full range of the Die build and assembly process. The T&D Makers participate in Die development, tryout, and troubleshooting while working closely with Design Engineers, CNC Programmers and Operators, and the Project Manager to create a quality product that exceeds our customer’s expectations. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years Tool & Die Maker in progressive and/or transfer die environment preferred
  • Experience making, repairing, and trouble-shooting dies
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment
  • High level of self-motivation and problem-solving skills
  • An excellent work record, including attendance

Tool & Die Maker Assistant

The Tool & Die Assistant position is an entry level opportunity into the Tool & Die field. The T&D Assistant will be responsible for the support of the T&D Makers through the die build and assembly process. Ideal candidates will have the following:

  • Experience working with hand and power tools preferred.
  • Experience working with basic manufacturing machines (lathe, drill press, grinder) a plus.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment
  • High level of self-motivation and problem-solving skills
  • An excellent work record, including attendance

Die Designer

Die Designers are responsible for creating 3-D die designs for Progressive and Transfer dies. They will also participate in the Design Review process, complete design updates and changes for the Tool & Die Makers, verify accuracy of final designs to coordinate with the completed dies, and follow STM design procedures and guidelines to insure quality. The ideal Die Designer candidate will have the following:

  • 2+ years' experience in designing progressive or transfer dies from start to finish
  • Proficiency in Solid Edge or NX software
  • Working knowledge of the die build process
  • Competency in MS Office software – Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • High level of attention to detail
